Brokeback Mountain

A Film Analysis for Human sexuality

If I remember it right, this film is the most intriguing and controversial of all the movies that I have watched. This is not just a movie that was created and made by imagination, it is a true to life portrayal about people with same sex who got married to a woman, yet still they cannot escape on the truth that they are trap with the feminine emotion and feelings.

I have a friend whose named was Carding Flores, he was once a full pledge gay, with a long hair, and with a big boobs, produced by the doctors he paid for injections, and now in present he is married to a woman, and they have son and daughter, he spoke and re-tell his story in the church and in one of the radio ministry of the United Methodist church, he said that to turn back from being gay is hard but he said my wife turn me now what I am, his hair is cut already and with a man’s muscle breast not a woman breast. He continue saying this though I was change into a man still I have the urge to find a man. Yet he knew he feels guilty of sinning against God and his wife, but he fight not to go back from what he was before.

Now, reflecting on the two guys being in love with each other, Jack and Ian? Oh I think not. not all women may understand the urge and lust of men; either it was a sexual urge for man or women, no offense but for discussion only, I am a man and my sexual urge is for an opposite sex, if gay has to find same sex two kind of man will answer to this call, one who is also a gay, and the other one is looking for money. Remember at the end scene, the other guy refuses to have sex with the other (Jack cliff), so he finds another solution for his lust.

Ian and Jack committed an act of deception against their wife and their family, maybe it feels the same when a man have relationship with another women, then if your wife will know it, it will hurt her badly.

At the beginning of the scene they portray a roll of man being strong and hardworking, well it is not only the measure of manhood, but when it comes to the identifying your manhood, there is determination and decision that you are man enough to have a sexual urge to an opposite sex. If sex is Gods given gift then I believed it is part of his plan to enjoyed it in an opposite sex,
If the question is, “Gays are not mentioned in the bible”, well here is a theory, considering this, if I where God, why should I bothered putting an article about gays, when I knew that the only thing I knew that I created is man and women, though I (God) have no gender too, in humans views, I (God) specifically put a specific kind of creation man and women. In the article written by Melvin Rhodes that Marriage is a constant theme throughout the Bible, as we might expect it to be. After all, the Bible is largely about human relationships, and none is as fundamental as marriage.

At the beginning, when God created Adam, the first man, He said: "It is not good that man should be alone" (Genesis 2:18). God created for him a female companion, Eve, meaning "life" or "living," for "she was the mother of all living" (Genesis 3:20).

God's plan for the male and female sexes is then clearly instituted: "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). In joining them as man and wife, the Creator of mankind instituted marriage. In the next verse Adam and Eve are clearly described as a married couple: "And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed" (verse 25).

Thousands of years later we see the covenant relationship between God and the nation of Israel, whom He had chosen, likened to the marital relationship (Isaiah 54:5; Jeremiah 3:14).
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ reinforces the special relationship between a husband and wife: "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,' and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate" (Matthew 19:4-6). If Jesus knew that God created gays and lesbian, he should have not mentioned this, but in theory he knew that God created man and wife.

The sexual act mentioned in the Old Testament bible particularly about the sexual morality, the act of lust and practice in a sex temple, is more likely about a "sodomite." male prostitute, who do unnatural act, it could be anal or anything that is not common in sexual desires, but what is moral and what is not, when a gay or lesbian get married what comes next, honeymoon and sex is to be considered but the question is how, most common sex act in gays are anal sex.
In the New Testament, in the letter of Paul to the Corinthians, it says “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionist, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 9-10). But still it doesn’t make sense about the word effeminate is he mentioning about the gays or the act itself.

Looking to this scenario, deep in the Jungle of the Amazon, Amazon women live there, where no men can go, men have no rights, and they will be beheaded if they cross the borderline. Another scenario all men are now gays and women have no rights, they are gun down by this gays if they cross the borderline, this scenarios are movie depiction in the late 1980’s, that possibly can happen.

The Gays and lesbians are human to be considered as part of the community for they are created in the likeness of God but what do we have to considered, which is likeness of God and which is not, well like professor Velunta would say read your bible and pray every day and you will know what the bible says.

Hope by reading this will not judges me but see this as my faith.
